KPHO Ch. 5 - Arizona Center Kicks off the Holidays with Christmas Tree Lighting

Downtown Phoenix officially kicked off the holiday season with the annual tree lighting at Arizona Center. The mayor, along with the help from valley kids, did the honor of flipping the switch at 6:00 p.m. this evening. People in attendance were able to stroll through Downtown Toy Town filled with lights and holiday decorations, they enjoyed carolers and Santa himself was even there. It s all to mark the start of many more holiday events. We have so many great local places to visit. 82 percent of downtown businesses are locally owned so you can really feel the flavor of Phoenix. The Holiday Concert Series kicks off December 3rd and Winter Wanderland takes place on December 11th for a full day of performances, food, and family fun.
