KTAR News: AC Hotel by Marriott to open luxurious 13-story Arizona Center hotel in 2021

PHOENIX – It seems like the expansion of downtown Phoenix is never ending. It’s about to grow even larger. Developers broke ground Sept. 6 on a 199-room AC Hotel by Marriott.

The upscale hotel is scheduled to open during the early portion of 2021 in the Arizona Center located between Van Buren Street and 5th Street. The 13-story building will boast a board room with both indoor and outdoor accommodations, an indoor-outdoor lobby bar with cocktails and small appetizers that overlooks the Arizona Center, and also an outdoor patio with water features and fireplaces.

“Downtown Phoenix is becoming a hub for entertainment, shopping, dining and so much more…out-of-town visitors will soon be able to enjoy all that downtown Phoenix has to offer,” said Matt Root, managing partner for Parallel Capital Partners, in a press release.

Visitors can also utilize a penthouse fitness center as well.

This will be the second AC Hotel located in Phoenix, with the first being the AC Biltmore located between Camelback Road and 29th Street.
